Currently Im using a computer I bought almost 4 years ago. I want to know if its possible to run the latest 3D games by just buying a new powerful video card (like GEForce 9600 GT) or would I need to replace everything na lang. Here are the specs:
Processor: Intel 4 Hyper Threading 3.0 Ghz (2CPU's)
Mobo: Intel D915GAV
Current Video Card: GEForce 8500GT 512MB
RAM: 1022MB RAM
Hard drive: 80 Gigs
PSU: Stock 400watts
I also want to buy a new casing cus my old one is just the standard type with 1 fan, I want more fans. Can anyone help?

better get the latest one whole cpu upgrade. For gaming get AMD vcard and procie for sure.

ok ra man imung processor ....
problema lang nimu is ang imung MOBO kay dili ka ka add/upgrade ana.

ni palit ko ug bag- nga PC..... kay i thought murag dili na mada sa akong old pc sa mga new applications
and also gubaon na akong RAM ..... mahal kaayu i upgrade ug DDR400 ..... 1500 pesos
im very happy now with my HTPC pc right now ..... hamis kaayu i tan aw ug movies, pictures, music
and dili pa gyud mu ungot if mag burn ko ug 20 dvds nga sagunson...... (8 gig of freaking ram)

Unsa kaha ug you use that 4,000 to buy a new motherboard and RAM (ddr2). Unya upgrade na lang later to a better video card and processor (Dual Core, Core 2 Duo or even Core 2 Quad).
Keep in mind though that there are reports that some of the newer intel mobos don't support the older s775 p4/celeron procs anymore so CHECK for compatibility gyud.
Anyways this might be a good combo:

waaa suya ko sa imo processor. naa nka overclock ana ng 8.0Ghz gamit liquid nitrogen. kung pang testing kaya nko panaogon ang temp ng processor to 1 degrees c.
hehe..
kung gaming di na jud ing-ana ka nindot ang p4 3.0Ghz, maskin i OC.
kay ang physics sa mga games na dili mo support ug physx kay bug-at paman gihapon sa cpu.
pero kung ganahan ka mag tripping, ug ganahan pud ka sa bragging rights, ok jud kaau na.
