GENUINE windows Vista CD?

I am thinking about buying a Genuine Windows Vista CD software for reformatting my laptop...

But i am having second thoughts because this might conflict with the built-in Vista of my laptop (and its old serials) considering I am going to have brand new serials when I install the new Windows Vista...

please advice...thanks!!!

no!! it won't conflict with your old vista.. you said you're gonna reformat it. right? so everything else in your drive c: will be gone.. and since you'll gonna purchase another Genuine Windows Vista there's no need to use your old serial number attached at the bottom of your laptop, use the new one though..

by the way, why buy another Genuine Vista? the bundled OS of your laptop is already Genuine..

basig basic ang vista niya then upgrade to premium? im not sure. pero lols na ang mag upgrade into brandnew same version and type etc. ahhahah

Did your laptop come with *genuine* Windows Vista already? If that's the case, it would be unwise to buy a new copy. Just use the restore CD/DVD from the OEM (i.e., the laptop's manufacturer like Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.) to reinstall the operating system.

No! NO! dont buy new vista CD! just restore the OS by using the cd that was sent with the lappy when you bought it.

it probably has an original vista with it.

if it's an OEM copy it's unwise to buy a new copy unless you are planning to upgrade to a higher version of Windows Vista.
if you are buying, please ensure as well that you have the necessary drivers for your hardware that is compatible with Windows Vista...

I think there's a partition for the image that will restore to its factory default. Unless it was deleted.
