In Carcar, you can check out the St. Catherine of Alexandria Cathedral whose architecture baffles a few photographers because of the moorish resemblance, then head out to balay na tisa which reminds you of how rich cebuanos used to live during spanish times. If your adventurous enough, head out the public market which serves delicious Lechon all day.

Heading south, you can stop by Argao to the Riverstone Castle. A replica of a castle made out of riverstones from Argao. At the town plaza of Argao, check out the old church and the small chapel near the arc. The purpose of the chapel is unknown but it is believed to be a chapel for departed children. You can also ask for Alex K. Gonzales who is the tourism officer of Argao. Don't forget to stop at Chitang's for authentic Torta de Argao.

Further south, go to Boljoon to see the Patrocinio De Maria Church / Belfry and Rectory near the rectory it houses the Boljoon musuem which boasts artifacts found during a recent archeological digging. here's a site i used when i was assigned to do a south of cebu shoot for Zee Lifestyle:

@fafi dj-dark: aside from those places suggested above, try also to check Kawasan Falls, Badian (South) & Bantayan Island (North). Sana maka-extend ka ng stay up to Holy Week, maganda sa Bantayan Island during those days. Kung nasa Cebu lang sana ako fafs ako bahala sayo sa Badian & Bantayan dun tayo samen libre stay, libre kain, libre tagay.. Basta libre din photography tutorial mo saken..hahaha

hello guys... I need help... Im planning for a roadtrip backpackers style...

can any one suggest a location, municipalities to stop, shoot some pics, and sight seeing.

my plan route is from cebu city to south of cebu then straight to northern part of cebu then back to cebu city again.

I dont have a car or a bike and planning to commute only.

@dj-dark if you know how to drive a bike you can rent one and we can do this together with my friend who's also into photography and bikes, we will have to pick a date though since i got activities almost every weekend until holy week. we can go from south to north but it will take a couple of days since going around south alone will take 1 whole day that is without a lot of rest stops, if we wanna take pics we would like to take our time.

let me know if you are interested, we got all the camping gears so all you need is a tent.
