he was given a chance to act as mayor lage. but that's not the only chance Rama will get. he can always run for mayor come 2010 and prove himself...

and as for cityhall, unsa man nga style ang dili nila ganahan? kanang dali dali-on cla? well, basin naanad cla nga hinay ug lihok. hehe u know cityhall na...nya kng delayed ang meetings, was it his fault or those who attended late? we all know that even in the corporate world, tight series of meetings is normal.

IMHO, nagpakita ug abilidad man c Rama. Pero tungod ky dili uyon ang mas powerful niya, like his diplomacy and peace efforts to the Garcias, masulti nato nga politika ra gyud ang motives behind.

IMHO, Rama is now in a dilemma. he knows very well that BOPK is a very strong political machine that could help propel him to mayorship come 2010 w/ ease. he needs BOPK but he also needs to show that he can stand on his principles.

You can try to question what I wrote in rama's defense based on what you wrote, but do you know him in action or you are just giving him the benefit of the doubt, or are you just commenting based on a generalized impression of him?

There are specific decisions he has made that I know of while he is acting mayor, mind you, with full powers, that will make you think twice. In business, in politics, a totally different person than what he was when he was vice mayor, attending any and all he can for the sake of maintaining public awareness of him. He is totally different! So if you believe in the guy, go ahead and support him. For me, he has shown enough specifics during that stint that will question if he will be good for the city after tommy. It is not a question whether we need a new leader or not. That is academic, as Tommy cannot run for reelection. Who is next? Up to you to vote who you want. From what I know, with or without Tommy's endorsement, whether Rama runs under Tommy, under the opposition, or as an independent, woe is Cebu if he becomes our next mayor.

Fyi, I know how city hall people worked under tommy, then under alvin, then under tommy, then during rama's short term. And there is a difference.

I am giving Rama the benefit of the doubt...

if u know how cityhall people worked under tommy, then under alvin, then under tommy again, then rama's short term, it still boils down that that is your own opinion that cannot be shared and agreed by everybody.

if there is one person who can break up BOPK, the only person likely to do that is no other than Tomas himself, not Rama...
