    Unhappy WD Passport Essential Problem


    why can't my windows xp os recognize my new western digital passport essential?

    this is supposed to be a plug and play storage media but then dili gyud sya madetect sa system

    i tried to format it using Disk Management but dili jud xa makita didto.

    what seems to be the problem of this portable drive mga sir?

    try to plug your wd passport to another usb slot.

    I recommend putting 2.5inches external drives at the back USB ports. DO NOT PLUG IT TROUGH front panel USB, sometime the front usb's doesnt have enough power to spin up and operate 2.5 harddrives, makadaot ni sya if cgehan ug try, in the sense that the drive is trying hard to boot up. Can damage the drive's firmware and malfuntion on the drive's Read/Write damage.

    yup. try nya ni bro. sigurado-a na ang usb cord imong gamit katong original pataban sa imong WD passport. kun wala gani gihapon powersupply na na nimo dili na kadaug.

    i already did sir and it worked.

    wala lang ta mo naupdate dayon last nyt kay duka na kaayo sowee...
