JMurag sayop man pod ang THREAD , it should RAP or REGGAE ? Kay gi compare man ang CULTURE and a GENRE .

just some questions to our HIPHOP/REGGAE experts :

    - What are the basis of HIPHOP " gara2x " na lang and REGGAE " pacute2x " na lang nowadays ? Is that comment based soley and specifcially sa mga WANNABES sa Cebu ? I doubt if that comment was for HIPHOP and REGGAE in general because they are not .

    - Daghan ug ubay ubay na pod ang nagpaka RASTA sa Cebu REGGAE scene , do they even know what is RASTAFARI ? Do they practice it the way it is should be ? Damn even the quality of our weed in the Philippines is crap then feeling na Jamaican ang mga Cebuano na ni convert ug TAONG GRASA ?

    - For BIG .... arent most MAINSTREAM ARTIST came from the humble beginnings of UNDERGROUND MUSIC ? The credit is still there but it is hard to justify that UNDERGROUND MUSIC is better LYRICS wise , that would boil down to personal opinions . BTW , lobot ra nako ang itom but I say TUPAC is the greatest RAPPER that ever lived .

Back to the topic , I would listen to RAP than REGGAE songs with the exception of some BOB MARLEY songs like I shot the Sherrif , No Woman No Cry and Buffalo SOldier .... all time faves !!!!

Most are from underground which is true but they become sell out. The underground music is way better in lyrics wise. Tell me a track that is good from mainstream and has a meaning. And no, Pac is not that greatest rapper. He got skills and such but not the greatest. I dunno who is the greatest rapper since theres alot of rappers out there.

1 or 2 music about ani hif-haf o reggae oki ra.

but kung molapas na ana^ ay sus......wa nay ayo.

    SUM-OL!!!!

    kaskas lang ug korinti.

    hif-haf = DISPOSABLE MUSIC
reggae = Tediously repetitious or lacking in variety aka BORING

Your OPINION states that UNDERGROUND MUSIC is BETTER LYRICS wise so as what I said regarding as 2PAC as the greatest RAPPER who ever lived . BTW .... most of NAS's and Kanye West songs has meanings and something people need to ponder to make their lives better ..... and they are MAINSTREAM and hot items right now in the HIPHOP world .

Alright Nas and Kanye and who else? Biggie is even better rapper than Pac. Theres only handful of rappers in mainstream that do such things unlike underground you have Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, Immortal Tech(Is better mc and lyricist that Pac), Adeem(makes you shiver the thoughts), and so fort. Lots of them are pure lyricist that actually makes music. Not making money out of music. Want abstract rap? Try Illogic, Aesop, Demigodz and such and it'll make you say WTF? Oh by the way, Pac is the most OVERRATED rapper period.
