    very nice...hmmm, maybe a little too under exposed...
    slight adjustment on ps should give you more highlights...

    I was submitting a proposal at a beach resort in mactan the other day and notice a xmas party goin' on with the loud music and all...i went closer to check it out and spotted some potential subjects

    ended up taking my camera out for some photos...
    (newbies, take it from me, it pays to bring along your camera everywhere everyday fully charged and ready to roll)

    Team Communication
    XPOSED Photography Contest 2006

    Contest Duration: January - February 2006
    Exhibition : February 13-17, 2006
    The contest aims to encourage young photographers to show their
    talents in photography and digital manipulation. It will help them
    showcase their works may it be in colored or in black and white.
    Their work will be exhibited during the Independent Festival.
    Winners will be chosen by a distinguished set of judges. Each
    category will have 2 winners.

    Xposed – Contest Mechanics
    Theme: Retoke : ang positibong uri ng reconstructive surgery

    1) The contest is open to all students.

    2) All contest entries may be shot using digital or analog camera.

    3) There is a P30.00 fee for every entry.

    4) Categories
    Black and White Photography
    Color Photography
    Digital Manipulation

    5) Prizes
    For Black and White and Colored Categories
    1st Prize Php 2,000.00
    2nd Prize Php 1,000.00
    Digital Manipulation
    1st Prize Php 3,000.00
    2nd Prize Php 1,500.00
    NOTE: A winner may only have one winning entry. Should a contestant
    have multiple winning entries, the prize with the higher value shall
    be awarded.
    • All participants will receive a certificate for
    participation
    • 1st Prize Winners will also receive a trophy in addition to
    their cash prize. 2nd Prize Winners will receive a certificate.

    6) Entry Requirements
    • Photos must follow the theme Retoke. This theme is related
    to the Independent Festival 2006 unifying theme, which is Culture
    and the Arts: A Catalyst for Social Transformation.
    • Contest entries shall not have been published nor exhibited
    prior to this contest.
    • Contestants may submit up to three photos per category.
    • The entry must be 8x10 in size. It must be mounted on the
    black side of a 1/8 illustration board. Each must also be plastic
    covered. The following information must be placed:
    black side – photo with the following information:
    - Title [Verdana, Bold, 24 pts]
    - Surname, First Name [Verdana, Reg, 20 pts], Year photo was
    taken/created
    white side (back)– must have the following information [Verdana,
    Reg, 12 pts] Name, School, Contact number, Email address, Category
    and Title
    • The entry must be submitted along with an accomplished
    official Entry Form and xerox of school ID.
    • Additional requirements for Digital Manipulation category:
    o A short essay must be included explaining his/her photo and
    its relevance to the theme. The essay must not exceed 500 words,
    printed on short bond paper and placed in a short brown envelope in
    addition to the picture.
    o Essay should follow these format requirements:
    - 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman, Reg, 12pts, Justified
    - Name, School, Title of Entry, Number of words in the essay
    • Contestants are responsible for ensuring that their contest
    entries are appropriately protected from damage when submitting
    them. TeamComm will not be liable for any accidents or damage done
    to contest entries.
    • Winning entries will not be returned and are deemed to be
    the property of TeamComm upon submission.
    • Contestants hereby warrant that they are the owner of the
    intellectual property rights in all texts and images used in the
    contest entries.
    • Contestants are considered to have agreed on the entry
    conditions at the time they submit their contest entry. If TeamComm
    decides that there has been a breach of the contest regulations or
    any applicable laws, TeamComm may, at its sole discretion void the
    application, cancel the contest entry and/or request the return of
    any award and seek from contestants any costs incurred by such
    action.
    • If there is a dispute or claim by a third party over the
    intellectual property rights in the contest entries, TeamComm shall
    take no responsibility whatsoever for such action and contestants
    shall bear full responsibility including the payment of any costs.
    • A person may submit an entry or entries that is/are not
    originally theirs, as long as with it is a certification signed by
    the real owner saying that he or she is the owner and has allowed
    his or her photo to be submitted. The following should also be
    included:
    o TeamComm is granted a non-exclusive and perpetual license
    and right to use, allow to be used, reproduce and prepare derivative
    works of the contest entry for the purposes of displaying that
    awarded work/s in exhibitions, events or materials relating to this
    Contest, promotional or marketing literature, whether printed or in
    electronic form.
    o If there is a dispute or claim by a third party over the
    intellectual property rights in the contest entries, TeamComm shall
    take no responsibility whatsoever for such action and you shall bear
    full responsibility including the payment of any costs.
    • TeamComm's executive board and members of Xposed screening
    committee are prohibited from joining this contest.

    7) Rights to Contest Entries
    • It is a condition that each applicant who is the author or
    owner of the photo/s hereby grants Teamcomm a non-exclusive and
    perpetual license and right to use, allow to be used, reproduce and
    prepare derivative works of the contest entry for the purposes of
    displaying that awarded work/s in exhibitions, events or materials
    relating to this Contest, promotional or marketing literature,
    whether printed or in electronic form.

    Submission of Entries
    • Submission of entries is from January 23 to February 8, 2006
    at the CAO office, 4th floor, SPS building, DLSU-Manila. Non-DLSU
    participants may submit their entries to assigned contacts in your
    school (as of this time, official school partners are not yet final).
    • Categories with less than five entries will automatically be
    cancelled and the entries will be immediately returned to the
    contestants.

    9) Judging
    • Images will be judged on overall photographic and artistic
    quality as well as relevance to the theme.
    • All decisions of the judges are final.

    10) Notification of Winners
    • All entries are to be exhibited at the Yuchengco Lobby, DLSU-
    Manila from February 13 to February 17, 2006
    • Awarding will be on February 24, 2006. In case the owners of
    these entries are not present during the awarding, they will be
    notified through text/phone call and email and have 10 days to claim
    their prize, otherwise, the prize will be forfeited.

    + Official Entry Form will be released in January 2006.
    + Xposed organizers/screening team members have the right to conduct
    an elimination process on a certain category in case too many
    entries have been received.
    + Prizes are subject to change should there be an addition of a
    prize other than cash. Consolation prizes may possibly be added at
    the discretion of the organizers.
