I thought I have to go my friend to play this game in Windows since I only got Linux, openSUSE 11 in my desktop & Fedora 10 in my laptop. I tested it in my laptop using wine and played up to level 3 without any problem, there were some error messages popping out at the console but there was no interruption with the game flow. Both screen resolution works fine and full screen mode works as well. The sound is great, it got that addictive hypnosis effect, Animation is astounding so far, I hope it will be consistent up to several levels more. My directX selection was in default. @javapenguin: Thanks for the test. I did not expect it to run at all under wine...
The D3D warnings and errors are triggered by wine, because the D3D implementation might not be 100% identical to the original D3D functions, some functions are missing in the wine implementation.
But they do not affect game play, nothing to worry about.
Currently, I run D3D in debug mode, which will be set to release in the final program, so the debug warnings might go away.
I am planning to build 30 or more levels, each with its own music and graphics (currently, its the same song and the same graphics...)
