There are too many categories to consider when you ask yourself why you like a war movie, so I can't just post something because I like them--you have to tell people WHY you like them...
...you like it for the story?
...you like it for the action scenes?
...you like it for the historical detail / production design?
...you like it because Tom Hanks is in it?
...you like it because your dad likes it too?
...you like German Wehrmacht uniforms?
...and so on.
