I hate Cold Play....they're musically bankrupt, overrated and recently they just plagiarized Joe Satriani's If I Could Fly ... and won a Grammy. Peste! Tikasan, kawatan! Take a look at this:

Coldplay sampled it i guess. The only thing is they didn't asked permission.... Ok raman mo sample as long as mananghid lang ka. They're real artist than say, Nickelback hehehehe

I don't picture Chris Martin as one who'd listen to Satriani. I don't know if he's heard of Satriani's song before he wrote Viva La Vida. I don't know the details of this "plagiarism" issue pero I'd assume nga preha ra mig musical taste ni Chris Martin and I've only heard of ONE Satriani song my whole life.

OT: I'm an 80's kid.. but I wasn't into the Glam Rock/Hair Metal stuff. I am mostly into 80's New Wave (for a lack of better term), 80's Goth, Brit-Pop, Power-Pop, etc... (daghan kaayo ning genre-genre uy).

a confession here.. I used to hate this band, knowing they are too mainstream back in the early 2000's.. but I was so wrong..

di gyud diay ta mo judge kung wala pa ta kadungog sa ila entire record. a rush of blood to the head ang naka doot nako nila.. I have all their albums bec. of that one..

and sa Plagiarism.. nahitabo pud ni sauna.. Remember George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" naa to case, but it was unintentionally copied accdg. to the Court to the Chiffons hit "He's so Fine"... and yet he did pay royalties...

its really sad for the artist's part, coz wala gyud silay intention na mao diay na ang result sa imo hinaguan...

I think same ra ni ang case sa Coldplay..

dilikado ang Coldplay ani since dakong tae pud ni si Joe Sat...

Depechebox: I believe that the similarity sa duha ka kanta is purely coincidental. Like I said above, Chris Martin is not the type of person that would listen to STEVE VAI. If Echo and the Bunnymen ang gikopya, well klaro gyud kaayo (Preha sa OnL copying CARE) .. pero Steve Vai?
