i am working on it...i'll find time completing that part. hehehe[br]Posted on: November 03, 2003, 05:07:20 PM_________________________________________________t he dialect is called hiligaynon...the people speaking the dialect are Ilonggos...so now, be careful in using those words.

It follows that people from Bacolod speak hiligaynon...but they are not ilongos, they are negrinse...

Now you know![br]Posted on: November 03, 2003, 10:31:28 PM_________________________________________________i n iloilo, there are actually other dialects: One is Caray-a, which is spoken in the province (not in Iloilo city). it is actually much like Cebuano but the accent is different. it is spoken fast and sounds ridiculous. The are changing l to r like wala to wara....

it has variations from place to place however, depending on which town you are from. Just imagine comparing, Cebuano in cebu city with cebuano in dalaguete. hehehe

    now you know!

never say the word "sabot" to an Ilonggo or Negrense ....they'll just laugh and blush ...

    let's eat - makaon ta

the language is the longer version of the Bisaya language...Hiligaynons say "wala", Cebuanos say "wa"
Hiligaynons - balay Cebuanos - bay ... etc...
