Mas maau man cguro to find out more about what Fr. Suarez & his non-profit organization done to the society rather than judging them right away.. To think his organization is Canada based which more foreigner's are donating & volunteering..If he has his personal interest or squander the donations, his answerable to those who trust him to lead the organization.. Let's give him a benefit of a doubt..If this Shrine will become a tourist destination, it will also add value to Batangas gov't.

What information do we still need to wait for? It's obvious that it's one big expensive statue. Yes, it's supposed to cost PHP400M, not PHP1B. It's still one overpriced statue to me and to other people. Are we supposed to wait for them to publish the entire project plan on the Internet before we can say something?

It's even worse that this is based outside of the Philippines. A statue does not need to cost this much. This might just be a front to send more $$$ to their offshore bank accounts. I don't even think this is for the tourist business, more like the squandering business. Who among you thinks that a huge statue is something you would spend PHP10,000 (plane fare + hotel + going to Batangas) to look at anyway?

This guy is just using religion to take advantage of your soft spots for religion. The Vatican does not even trust this guy. Why build something FOR THE POOR that does not shelter them, does not feed them, does not clothe them, does not heal them. If the government did this project, everyone will already be yelling regarding this budget. You willing to wait for more info? 40% of the budget for something that is supposed to be for the poor but does not do anything for the poor is a good economic strategy?

This is just the equivalent of UP building a 400M oblation statue, and saying that will do our education standards any good. Very wise investment?

8 BILLION LOL! I noticed something, donations from the institutions he built? Since when can you say something is yours if it was just DONATED?. Those institutions didn't came from Fr. Suarez's pocket! those are donations coming from various groups, sectarian or not. INSTITUTION HE BUILT BS!!! BOOM! now I see a BUSINESS AND NOT A GOD!
