JC a Kapamilya soon?

MANILA, Philippines - In the past few years, JC de Vera (photo) has established himself as one of the most promising new talents in a series of TV dramas on GMA which has discovered and groomed him. He showed his versatility in the four-episode Obra in which he played four different, challenging roles and easily acquitted himself.

His last soap was Lalola as the leading man of Rhian Ramos.
His contract with GMA is expiring next month.

A Funfare DPA said that Kapuso JC is turning Kapamilya soon. Heard that his first assignment with ABS-CBN will be a soap with Judy Ann Santos, to be followed by another one with Shaina Magdayao.

‘There’s no stopping his manager, Annabelle Rama,’ said the Funfare DPA.

M.Y.M.P. now a Kapamilya

MANILA, Philippines - Juris Fernandez and Chin Alcantara, known as M.Y.M.P., are now Kapamilya as they recently signed a contract under Star Records.
The band that made the crowd sigh and fall in love with their hits such as A Little Bit and Now will be releasing an album next month. It is far different from the previous albums that duo has released. “This time, Juris will go solo,” Annabelle Regalado-Borja, managing director of Star Records, shares. “But Chin will still have his participation in the album. He will try not to play his guitar so that a different side of M.Y.M.P. will be highlighted.”
M.Y.M.P. is also part of A.S.A.P.’s sessionistas segment together with Aiza Seguerra, Nina, Richard Poon, Sitti, and Duncan. Juris and Chin will also have their repeat concert with Side A and Freestyle on Feb. 15 at the Araneta Coliseum.

Pati ang madir ni Chard na si Annabelle Rama, masayang-masaya sa tumataginting na P10-M first-day gross ng When I Met U nu’ng Miyerkules.

Inaasahan daw nilang lalakas pa ang performance nito sa box-office ngayong Valentine weekend dahil perfect date movie nga ang obrang ito ni Direk Joel Lamangan.

Ayon kay Madera, base sa report na natanggap niya, so far, malaki ang kinita ng movie sa mga sosyal na sinehan gaya ng sa Rockwell at Glorietta.

“AB ang market nila,” obserbasyon pa ng lady produ.

Kuwento naman ni Tita Annabelle, nabulabog ang simbahan ng Sto. Niño sa Cebu nang magtungo roon sina Chard at KC bago tumuloy sa preskon at mall show sa SM City.

“Isang fan lang, ’Day, ha, ang nakakita kay KC, ang sabi, ‘Kisi! Kisi! (read: KC!, KC!) Idul! (Idol!),’ ayun, nagkagulo na! Nakasumbrero na nga ’yung dalawa, buti na lang may security kami bigay ng pinsan ko,” tsika pa ni Tita Annabelle.

Sa biyahe mula Manila, ayaw na raw tingnan ni Bisaya sina Chard at KC dahil parang may sariling mundo ang mga ito. “Panay ang halik ni Chard sa ulo ni KC,” pambubuko pa ng ina ng aktor. Bilib siya sa lakas ng hatak ng bagong box-office tandem, dahil hindi rin daw nagkamayaw ang mga fan na pumuno sa ilang floors ng SM City Cebu.
