ayaw nalang sa mo pag-hope sa US na maghire ron ky global recession. as i have mentioned sa uban related threads like this ky work on having some experience ky pila ray pagdagan sa panahon ug makabalik ra sa hiring status ang nursing field sa different parts of the world.
lahi ra gyud ug naa ka experience...i know ul hate this info ky conventional kaau but come to think of it para ra sad ni sa inyo bisan unsa pa ka biya ang technology sa pinas but m referring actually to the confidence one will develope in the area of ur exposure.

i think its true that nearly every newly graduate nurse is conceited...smug...whatever u can call it. i used to be a trainee in one of the hospitals here in OZ and there is this newbie nurse from r.p...she was so confident when i asked her if she do know how to use a hoist...and she said...hell yeah! ive done so many liftings back in r.p daw.so i said..ok.lets move it.sunod pud intawon ko niya coz graduate gud siya 4 years...ako in the mid year pako sa ako nursing dri but i was shocked on what she did...she took the doona (top sheet cover)and roll it over underneath the patient and she asked me to put the patient to her side and were gonna roll her over and then lift her up...she instructed me on what to do where infact the hoist is just right next to her!
and i just realized what she wanted us to do is lift the patient up using that doona...i told myself holy shit! im just 40 ****ing kilos and i think she is 50 kls.the patient was an obese woman...no bloody way we could lift her up...i told myself this lady doesnt have a common sense.
i told her to get the hoist and she has been insisting that doona is the hoist. i should have emphasize better the modern hoist and guess what?she doesnt even know how to use it.
meeting her was such a disaster...but that was one of the best laugh of my life though.
i know some of our newly graduates nurses are abit dumb coz if theyre gonna go abroad..theyre are various type of modern facilities which u couldnt find in r.p. but whats the bad thing here is that they act like they know everything..that theyre better than anyone when infact they know nothing.
thats one of the reason why newly grads cant get a job here in OZ without taking another year of nursing course and that is the basic use of modern facilities i think.
coz due to much corruption in pinas...its like r.p is now way behind of nearly everything!and when i asked her how come she didnt know what a hoist is...this is what she said...
"wa man gud ni sa amo"
patay amo pasyente unta if sugot ko amo kargahon...puniton jud sa sawog!

new breeds of nurses nowadays are quite half-bake in terms of theories and OJT especially 2nd degree coursers...
