It's called DUE PROCESS. Maybe you've heard of it. it's part of a democracy. It's part of the rule of law. Even canon law goes by it.

Here's another problem: What Fr. Suarez is doing is not illegal. Can it be stopped then?. If people don't believe in him, they should not donate. But apparently lots of people do believe and want to donate to his projects. The bishops may say something, but legally they cannot stop him unless he is using Church funds. But what about funds that people donate for his projects? How can thyat be stopped?

The issue has tio be examined properly.Attacking a well-regarded, nationally-awarded person without all the facts isn't right. It's unfair.

Examine the evidence first, and then make a decision based on it. That has clearly NOT been done in this case.

did u even ask urself why would a priest would be really interested in building a billion peso statue?isnt this a way of another corruption again?it just proves u can trust no one.im not hypocrite bro...im stating a fact.

im just so curious why they build these churches when they close it and not allow anyone esp. the homeless to sleep in it when they have no one to turn to..and take note...they are believers too...

is this a way of u saying that god is selfish?he got a very nice house but he couldnt share it to those in need?

i have heaps of questions that when i started asking one of those priest in simala...he couldnt even answer me.

what is so good of being a catholic when u keep committing urself?and even priest do it?
why they keep building churches when theres heaps of less fortunate people who need that money most?

if its humanitarian bro..wa diay humanitarian sa pinas?how come kadaghan man diha ug street children?everywhere u go...theyre all over the place.

you have a god? what an atheist really means to you?

are you depending your faith to those priests? you know there are always a rotten eggs.. does it mean the whole church is rotten? open your eyes so you can see those charities run by the church. do you know that the Vatican spent millions of dollars to carry on those humanitarian missions for those countries that are victims of war?

yes i am a believer! but not through what the priests says.. through the holy bible of the church and the holy tradition of the apostles you will know the truth.. Not all preist are good preacher, remember that lady.

i know lady_blackrose, i hope and wish you will be a atheist until your dying day.. or you might be called hypocrite!
what did the bible say?Are u allowed to do premarital ***?u didnt answer that...if being too blunt is hypocrisy for u then i dont mind u calling me hypocrite...

    and another thing bro...

its weird that u are a believer...u go to the church yet u dont believe in what the priest tells u to do?does that make sense?whats the purpose of attending mass...praying for an hour if u dont believe what he preaches?

and what is a priest for u?if u dont believe in those preachers then u dont believe in god...coz they preach on whats on the bible...if im right though...get the logic?

Do you actually have the facts of that statue? Do you know the actual costs and what exactly will be built? Do you know if those who donated the money wanted it to be spent on anything else? What if the donors specifically want the funds to be used for that project?

If you don't have the facts, then you're just spreading hearsay. Do some research first.

Churches are for worship, not for sleeping. People want to worship so they don't end up like you. Houses are for sleeping in, and the Church DOES provide syuch services for the poor. But did you even bother to see that? Look around.

what is so good of being a catholic when u keep committing urself?and even priest do it?
You miss the point. The truth is important in itself. The Church teaches certain truths and we believe it. Our personal failures do no;t change those truths. God is worthy of our worship even when we are unworthy. We must strive to do what is right even when we fail.

Apparently your atheism can't reconcile itself with reality. That's not surprising because atheism is irrational. You cannot prove that God doesn't exist, so atheism is baseless.

church is for praying itself?as far as what that priest told me...god is everywhere and he is gonna be there in times u need him most but those people need him...he has the place for them to stay yet they couldnt...

if they really help those people out...how come theyre still heaps of them out there begging?scattering all over the place?to be frank with u...i havent seen any humanitarian projects by the church...let me know where do they do it so im going to check it out...
i reckon that humanitarian project doesnt exist in pinas coz of too much corruption but if it does...there still heaps of beggars...why is that?

i just want to be enlightened and what is so good about being a catholic?

Where was due process when we heard Priests raping innocent Church volunteers? Where was due process when a Priest decided to go against the rule of God and planned the 1Billion Shrine? Did it consulted the high CBCP council? I guess not. Evil and God co-exists in this world. You should bare with it.

Where is righteousness when the Church itself covers up its mess? back to Fr. Suarez topic.

exactly... cge lang pataka og yawit gud with "COMMON SENSE" man pud... We don't need articles and books to prove what is right and wrong... We just use our common sense. A gift from God and a gift well appreciated. Sensya na when Jesus came to earth and preached wala pa man gud mauso ang articles, magazines, blogs og internet. Mao to common sense iya gigamit pag preach.
