How about kanang mga UV filters bah. nag search pud ko ani, pero contradicting ang mga ideas. naa ingon nindot daw mag butang para additional protection lang sa lense; dli ra daw mu affect sa image. naa pud uban nag ingon nga mu affect. sa mga nag gamit, in real-world conditions, naa ba gyud effect ang UV filter? okay raba mag butang ani?
UV filters just fiter out the ultraviolet part of the spectrum, below 400nm. so no, it doesn't affect the image. CMOS or CCD sensor pixels are designed to be sensitive to Red (580nm), Green (540nm), and Blue (440nm). UV filters aside for protection are design to prevent heating of internal elements after the 1st primary lens of the camera system. Simple UV filters are just ordinary glass coated with a thin optical film in the order of nanometers in thickness which consequently give it the UV filtering characteristics. Some more expensive UV filters are multi-coated to also reduce glare at extremely oblique angles of incidence.
For me, UV filters are a must. It protects the internal elements from heating up and more than that it protects the primary lens surface of your lens. =)
i got mine called hoya limot ko sa sukod
ok cya sa outdoor na init kaayo pero d cya ok sa night ky underexpose ang dating so gabii akong tangtangon.
B&W also is a nice and REALLY expensive brand of filters. If you dont earn money in your photography buy a tiffen, hoya.
I use Cokin (mas bang for the buck cause square then palit nalang ko og adapter para sa holder) for all lenses using adapter, tokina CPL for kit lens, tiffen UVs, canon 500D closeup for kit lens. Not really particular with the brand cause la ko money palit of mahalon.
