I'm thinking it was an "alternative" to the usual rock and roll music of the late 80's and early ninties. when everybody playing music had long hair and long guitar riffs... hehehe..
as what our humanities instructor said, alternative music is the sub category of rock. its the alternative to the usual contemporary rock. hehehehe
from the word itself..'alternative'..meaning a substitute to the usual rock genre during the late 70s and the 80s
korek ka jan
hayy salamat naay nakasabots alternative.. abi nko mo name drop nasad ug.. creed.. lifehouse.. etc.. etc.. hahahaha
sad to say i love alternative rock than punk.. but punk is also related to alternative.. paeta.. basta di jud ko anang punk kay baduy kaayo mo porma.![]()
At last... naa jud intawn kaila! hehehehe... well for those who dont... Alternative is like an umbrella... daghan ang naa sa ilawm ana... like when you say punk, pop, grunge... ug daghan pa! so when asked "unsa imo tirada... ayaw sulti ug alternative" and also you must know your music.... pareha ra na sa mosulti ka ug "indie", "new wave"... dli jud na sila genre pwera gaba!
wekekekee![]()
but the sad thing is that people don't really care the genre thier listening to. unless this thread gets to be posted in every forum in the entire world (it's not even enough) there will still be name-dropping happening when the next some body asks another body the same question.
