Plot Summary: Space-time vortexes suck!

Will Ferrell stars as has-been scientist Dr. Rick Marshall, sucked into one and spat back through time. Way back. Now, Marshall has no weapons, few skills and questionable smarts to survive in an alternate universe full of marauding dinosaurs and fantastic creatures from beyond our world - a place of spectacular sights and super-scaled comedy known as the Land of the Lost.

Sucked alongside him for the adventure are crack-smart research assistant Holly (Anna Friel) and a redneck survivalist (Danny McBride) named Will. Chased by T-Rex and stalked by painfully slow reptiles known as Sleestaks, Marshall, Will and Holly must rely on their only ally - a primate called Chaka (Jorma Taccone) to navigate out of the hybrid dimension. Escape from this routine expedition gone awry and they’re heroes. Get stuck, and they'll be permanent refugees in the Land of the Lost.

The Laaaaand of the Loooost...
I used to watch this when I was a kid !

Though already vague in my memory, I do remember a very short ape-like-man-like creature, jurassic animals, a family and a huge single stonehenge-like watchamacallit with a diamond entrance that leads the family to this prehistoric zone.

This TV series used to occupy my time during the afternoons over RPN-9...

I will definitely view its remake...

Huge fan of the original series. During gardening class in Grade 4, I even made mudgloves that resemble the Sleestak hands. Funny how one can remember such things. I perfected my dinosaur drawing skills because of this series, to the point that my classmates kept asking me todraw dinosaurs into their notebooks until I became so sick of doing it I sometimes deliberately drew them ugly so they'd stop

Hope they do this right.
