A Quezon City couple have been charged with rape for allegedly forcing their maid to have *** with their pet dog last year.
Antonio Sansano, 63 and his live-in partner Estrella Panorilla, 37, were also charged with illegal detention for locking up their 22-year-old maid when she tried to escape from their residence to end her ordeal.
In filing the cases before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court, Assistant City Prosecutor Veronica Pagayatan said she found probable cause to indict the couple for two counts of rape under the Revised Penal Code.
The case stemmed from a complaint by the maid that her employers forced her to have sexual intercourse with their pet dog sometime in March 2008 and on April 2, 2008 inside their residence at No. 21 Mabini Street in Barangay Sta. Lucia, Novaliches, QC.
Records of the case showed that from December 26, 2007 up to April 3, 2008, Paronilla repeatedly maltreated her by slapping her face, banging her head against the wall, kicking her body and pouring hot water on her body.
Investigators found that the victim’s hearing was damaged and her left ear deformed as a result of the maltreatment she received.
Still not satisfied, the couple alleged forced the maid to have *** with their dog. The duo allegedly held her two feet while their houseboy held her two hands.
On both occasions, the accused satisfied themselves seeing their pet dog’s organ penetrate into her private organ, records of the case said.
When the victim tried to escape after the second rape incident, the couple locked her up inside a room.
Her ordeal ended on April 3, 2008 when members of the Quezon City Police District Station 5 and barangay officials, acting on a tip, raided the residence of the accused and rescued her.
Sansano and Panorilla were charged with rape before Branch 88 of the QCRTC. Presiding Judge Rosanna Fe Maglaya issued warrants of arrest against them and they are now detained at the QC Jail. A total bail of P240,000 each was recommended for the temporary liberty of the accused.
On the recommendation of Inquest Prosecutor Michael Millora, the couple was also charged with illegal detention before the sala of QCRTC Branch 219 Presiding Judge Bayani Vargas. No bail has been recommended against them.
Charges of less physical injuries were also filed against the couple before the QC Metropolitan Trial Court for the injuries inflicted on the victim.
