"land down under" thats how they call australia.. its a pity that in this movie they dont show much of darwin,australia. there was only short part that they show the kangaro.. sayng ila gasto sa travel wa gisulit.. ako lang na ipinion ha.. ayaw omo angal..hehehe.. mau pa sa gold coast sila nag shoot.. pwede ra unta to sa luyo sa among house mag shoot kay naay kangaroo.. hahahaha

i've seen the movie.. i like the movie itself but not the story as a whole, there are some parts nga dragging but naa pud parts nga nalingaw ko..mas nindot moact si Angel ani nga movie..

and i agree with one of the comments nga wa jud au napakita ang Australia, naa ra man gud sila sa Australia outback..ang Bukidnon noon kay napkita jud pag-ayo, the green sceneries and the like..

basta nindot and cinematography ani..

‘Love Me Again’ Hits P60.28 Million on its 3rd Week

The Star Cinema movie Love Me Again (Land Down Under) starring Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual has grossed P60.28 million on its 3rd week. One True Love’s 3rd week gross, on the other hand, is P60.48 million.

It seems that the Piolo-Angel starrer is getting identical box-office returns with One True Love, the first movie of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. Both movies earned P53.2 million on its 2nd week run, but on the 3-weeks report, One True Love is now slightly higher with 0.2 million difference or P200,000.00.

Just like what i posted a while back, there are some things to be considered. There’s foreign exchange, the film’s budget and the Hollywood movies it was pitted into.

One True Love was shown last November 2008, the same period that Twilight was also showing in local theaters. Take note that Twilight is the top-grossing Hollywood movie in the country for the year 2008. Love Me Again, on the other hand, is currently being pitted with another vampire movie - Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. The said film topped the local box-office for the second week in a row with a current total gross of P41.18 million.

On the other hand, Twilight has surpassed the P100 million mark at the same period and ended it’s run before the start of MMFF with a whopping P180 million. For sure, it has affected the screening of One True Love which could have earned more if not for the monster hit of the Stephanie Meyer adaptation.

Another thing to be considered is the film budget. Love Me Again has Australia as one of its settings while One True Love was only shot here. For this alone, it would be safe to assume that Love Me Again has a bigger budget than One True Love. Since the two films have identical 3-week grosses, it is definite that the one with the lower budget has more profit than the other.
