    By default, 1st coating should be gray and second is the final coat which is the required color. Here's the reference in case you are provided with Federal Standard paint in the instruction,

    Federal Standard 595 Fed-Std-595 Color Specification, Fan Deck, Paint Chips

    Some modeling paint like the Italeri, Revell, Pactra included the FS standards unlike Tamiya. Nice thing in tamiya is you're going to mix in order to have the exact color matching.

    I don't have references especially on the subjects of PAF aircraft, i have a Tamiya P51D Mustang and I like to have a PAF markings but I have found no decals. I had tried making my own decals but it ended up to garbage bin due to the printer (deskjet).

    I got a blank decal sheet hoping to manufacture my own decals someday. I've yet to try it out. You suppose a laser printer will have better luck than an inkjet?

    I think Laser Printer is best. There are also decals design for inkjet

    I have a reference book on PAF aircraft. The author, the late Brian Austria-Tomkins, gave it to me years ago. He came out with the book to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Philippine Air Force in 1997. I can show it to you, and you can photocopy it if you want. It has a few color spreads of aircraft like the P-51D, F-86, F-8, Nomad, etc...

    Most of the photographs came from the extensive collection of Bert Anido.

    I can also spare you a blank decal sheet if you're keen on experimenting with a PAF P-51D. "The Shark of Zambales," flown by then-Lt. (later General) Benito Ebuen seems to have the nicest paint scheme. I think the decal sheet is designed for inkjet printers. I don't foresee using it anytime soon, basin mabulok lang.

    @tarmac & messerchtmitt

    Have any of you tried making resin molds for model parts? If so, would you be so kind to tell us where to get the materials locally or you have to import it? What about blank styrene sheets? Can it be procured locally by local I mean Cebu City.

    Thank you so much.

    I'm sure resin parts are doable. When we were still into furniture manufacturing, we molded and cast our own resin pieces. We also made speedboat hulls before. Olympus Hardware in Mandaue was one of our main sources. Polymer Products near the Mandaue flyover was another.
