sorry mate, im a complete twat when it comes to inverts. gilbz is the right guy for the question.. but as what his royalty informed me, try looking at the eye config, leg size and length, spinnerets config and color morphs for clues to what the species really is.. if you ask me, looks like a Orph.cebuensis, but i cant be for certain.. take a closer dorsal photo of the cephalothorax
but i know this specie is definitely a (Daemon diadema), or a Tailless whipscorpion, an Amblypigid.. If looks could kill, then this is the perfect bloody critter.. I know, cause ive been keeping this critters since before.. They fascinate me..
thanks herp sir... i'll try asking gilbz about the tarantulas i've caught..
right, no problem amte..
btw, where's the D.diadema now?? Are you keeping it? How big is it? Looks like a female to me..
I have one hatchling monitor lizard berfore but it got away after feeding it with a small mice.. It just happened to see that creature searching for food inside our house... If i could find one during my hunt i'll just PM you Sir... is it the local monitor lizard or a different one??
@ azland: how big is this fellow?
the way i see it, looks like it's more than 2 inches...probably about 3inches +. if it is that big, chances are it is indeed an orph. coz baeris almost look similar, though they are way much smaller (no more than 2 inches max). though, i'm not an expert in identifying local Ts, it could be an entirely new sp coz there are lots of local SPs that are already classified, but we dont have any clue how they look or how big they can really get. the common ones we normally see in hobbyists' collections are the orph, baeri and the phil. orange.
