Watched it yesterday.. my comments:

The story was very nice.. depicting the actual slum and ordinary Filipino community, and the real scenario of the gay childhood of Maxi. Nindut gyud baya ang message sa story, it makes you see how our fellow Filipinos strive to make a living in a bitter, but in a way, happy life with someone who takes care of you (Maxi). Teary-eyed gud ko sa touching scenes.
The actors as well are very good, mura gyud veteran actor nato ang Papa ni Maxi, maayo gyud mudala. Maxi on the other was ok, maklaro nimo nga straight siya in real life, though he manage being gay rasad pero kuwang gamay, medyo because Maxi's character is an innocent gay. Lingaw ko ni Bogs, brother ni Maxi, kay cool niya pagdala ang character. The handsome police was also ok and did well in some scenes. Kuya bodjie of Batibot was cool too.. I didn't know apil siya.. hehehe.. serious raba siya didto!

As an Indie film, it was ok because of the good story and direction. What i can't get a grip on is the audio, there were a lot of scenes where i hardly hear the conversation, i had to listen very well to get it right. There were even times when some of the audience in the cinema had to "Sssshhh" some noisy people in the house just to hear the conversation well.
The lack of lights and reflectors also may have contributed to some fuzzy scenes, maybe it could have lessen the too high contrast of light-at-the-back-of-object scenes and night shots. Cinematrography was ok but with small improvements to make it better i guess. By the way, nice original tracks from Pepe Smith.. guitar riffs on some scenes did actually made some impressions, it was cool after all.

What pissed me off when i watch,(just like iryn) were the people who didn't have the respect !!! A lot of gays were very noisy! Kay abi bayot man ang character, doesn't mean it's about them...hehehe, I guess nalingaw rato sila sa mga humorous part sa movie, but didn't really understand some deep parts(I'm not referring to all ha) Pero samok lang gyud tinuod, saba kaayo sila duh, bawng hinay pa ang sounds sa characters, saba2x pagyud mga bading!

Overall, it's a great movie! It's an indie film, one should not expect the glamorous high budget films of local and foreign productions. But they did well despite the low budget, with great actors, directions and the story.

Still recommended for viewing!!!

bro! movie does not revolve around gays and the gay world! this movie has values.. before u say it sucks keep an open mind and try to watch it. besides watching movies na ang star character gay dosent make u "gay". besides wala cya nagrevolve around the lovestory of the character.. more on sa family.

yup, the audio wasn't very good in the film.

though first time I watched it in Cinemalaya, there were subtitles, I just realized now mao diay kuwang sa film, proper audio recording.

yup, low-budget gyud cya na film, mao bitaw independent, pero they come off with very good results.

wa paman ka mutanaw Dhated, please tanaw na, kay puro ra ka panaway ug mag ka OT ka samot.
