i'd say their venomous, as most colubrids are rear-fanged.. but the delivery system of their venoms are'nt that good. they must be able to have a clear, strong and solid bite to make a probable successful delivery. and not all bite are full envenomation, as most are probably dry bites.

the more dangerous colubrids i know of are of not this species. you can try Ahaetulla, Boigas, even Cerberus, but not this..

so i'd say if you were bitten, the worst you can get would probably tetanus (not to mention your injured ego too).. and a bloody bit painful wound..

even the mechanical damage of their bites posses no great damage or cause for alarm..

just remember to was the affected area with clean running water and soap.. and get yourself a bloody tetatus shot...

I beg to disagree its a lampropeltis.Heycroc is right we don't have king snakes here. its a Dendrelaphis pictus bro..its not a dangerous snake since it has a spoon like shape head and the eyes are round. in fact that snake can be handled although they are bit fast.it will not grow large.

i agree it is a common house snake known as Lycodon capucinus or commonly known as the wolf snake..i have that one before which i found here in cebu city..

Very good observations of the typical behavior of a dendrelaphis pictus unfortunately, the one in the picture is not a dendrelaphis pictus/ a common bronzeback tree snake. A 2.5 dendrelaphis is already considered an adult whereas the one in the picture still exhibits the bright red spot coloration of a juvenile (indicating that it is stilla juvenile), more so the "spoon like head and round eyes" is a common characteristic of almost half of the colubrid species. The juvenile dendrelaphis pictus would already exhibit the dark lateral lines and the color of the species, however in a more intense color and a disproportionately large head. I've posted a pic of a dendrelaphis pictus below
