By the late 4th century, the Roman Catholic Church started to persecute anyone who studied the mysteries, this included the Gnostics who were very popular in north east Africa . Temples and statues were destroyed throughout the Roman empire which included Europe, Asia and north Africa. Ancient rituals became forbidden under punishment of death. The great Library of Alexandria and the Serapeum were destroyed. In 391AD, Emperor Theodosius I ordered the destruction of all the Mystery Schools and the Patriarch Theophilus, complied with his request. The Roman Catholic Church kept most of the library information for themselves.
It is no coincidence that the name "Jesus" in Italian, the modern day language of the Roman Catholic Church is "Gesu'" . In Greek, the name for Jesus is "Iesous" and turned the "I" into a "J". Now keep in mind, the letter "G" already existed in the Greek and Latin Alphabets. They could have spelled it "Iesu" or "Jesu" but decided to spell it "Gesu" The Name Gesu' is actually stems from the Akkadian Semitic word Ghalz-Hu who is originally Khaz-Hu . The Vatican keeps this little phonetic word play their own little secret for personal empowerment. The Church of the Gesł is the mother church of the Society of Jesus, known as the Jesuits, an order of the Roman Catholic Church.

i like these documentaries. very intricately prepared, and yes, very "mysterious". these movies however do NOT assert a final conclusion, as they present "theories", "claims" and "hypotheses" which have to be proven by numerous scientific research and experiments. these "claims" are currently subject to controversy in biblical, theological, historical, and archeological fields, due to statistical anomalies and/or inconsistencies. in the end, the documentary ended with a hanging conclusion, in the usual way these documentaries do in order to gain viewers' trust that they are supposedely "leaving the conclusion" to the viewers themselves.
