Hello all, as you can see I just joined. I hope to make many friends here, but I am finding things a little confusing.

I read the FAQ, and browsed this forum hoping my question had been answered, but to no avail, so I hope I may ask it here. It may sound a little silly, but I would like to know where this site originated? By that I mean, I have seen some people posting in a different language. At first I thought this was spam, then realised it wasn't. What language is this, if I may ask? As I said, it is a silly question, but I would like to know. I would like to use my translation website to understand what people are saying, and talk to you all in the language that appears to be common here.

Most people here are speaking native languages which is VISAYAN.It is in the Visayas region and is part of the Philippine Island. We do speak Filipino and English languages but not too often.

I had a feeling this forum had some Filipino language here. I do not have a translator for Visayan language. Hopefully you all speak good English and I can get away with speaking that. It does make it a little difficult for me to understand everyone, but I have noticed that many give the English translation of their posts also, which is greatly appreciated.
