PLDT new platform "kuno"; PPPoE Dialer; Linksys WRT54G

Guys, im helping my friend with this.

The usual internet connection we have kay maka connect nata sa net inig connected sa local area network right? My friend experienced the same before but now dili na cya maka connect sa net. He asked someone from PLDT to help and he created a PPPoE dialer sa pc nya.

I try to access the modem page with no avail. bisag naka connected pa dialer or not. I called up the tech team and the agent said.... PLDT's New PLATFORM nga mu dial na gyud daw.

Since my friend need the Linksys router so i entered it into the page... but was not able to connect.
Maybe just because we need to manually connect it and linksys wrt54g PPPoE config is auto dial or something?

anybody knows about the where abouts? hehehe

naka bridge mode ang imo'ng modem boss, kung gusto ka maka access sa modem gui, assign a static ip sa imo PC (usually 192.168.1.x kay for sure ang modem nimo is zyxel 192.168.1.1)

kung gusto ka dili na mag-dial manually configure your modem's PPPOE (enter the needed details sa modem, pwede sad nimo enable DHCP sa modem para auto obtain na lang imo PC)

Go for the DHCP instead.

ang PPoe nakit-an lng naku na sa MAC.ambut lang kaha unsay ialng bag-ong style karun sa PLDT nga naggamit man sila ingun ana.

Nop. not zyxel... its speedstream. it doesnt even have a reset button...lolz.
I dont know why pldt did that to my friend but sa amo...i dont need to do that naman.
static IP? hmmmm.... im not sure if you have that one in residential line.
PPPoE? mao man ghatag sa globe gud..

so basically. no other way to go around this right? coz mainly naka manually diay cya...unless i can open up the modem ayt? ang agent...ana gyud cya nga new platform... toink....so wala nalang ko nakig lalis...

mas maayo kung makahatag ka sa exact model number sa modem, siemens speedstream modem's default ip is 10.0.0.138, so i-set ug 10.0.0.x imo pc subnet 255.255.255.0

kung makasulod na ka sa modem configuration, usba lang then use PPPOE

NOTE: RESET Button sa Siemens Speedstream kay naa sa ilawom. Wala sa likod.

ai ai.... sorry kaau...pldt i mean..mao ba? naa sa ubos? kuyawan man ko gud nga basin di na nuon maka connect... kabalo bya ka sa mga tao...instead nga mu help ka...kung sayop gani...masuko nuon.hahaha

same prob nako. nagdirect nako karon. maglisud og connect ako linksys sa ako modem. dont know why. tried reseting sa modem dli gihapon.
