Golden State guard Monta Ellis participated in a full practice for the first time on Tuesday since undergoing left ankle surgery back in August.

"Monta actually did the whole practice today, which probably I wasn't supposed to (allow)," coach Don Nelson said. "It kind of ended up that way."

Ellis has called himself a game-time decision from here on out, but admitted that he needs to work on his conditioning.

"No pain. No swelling. Nothing. Everything feels good," Ellis said.

"Right now it ain't even the ankle. It's the condition work, getting back in the flow of things. ... Like I said, I'm going to take it day by day, continue to work hard, keep moving forward."

Yao wants T-Mac Traded?


Tracy McGrady has so frequently been out of the lineup that the Rockets are beginning to be fed up with him, and Yao Ming has quietly voiced his displeasure.

"They don't speak," an extremely plugged-in person tells David Aldridge. "And Yao wants him out."

Next summer McGrady will have an expiring, $22.4 million contract that many teams will likely be interested in taking.

Yao and McGrady still like each other personally, but it is an on-the-court matter.

One veteran scout who worked a Rockets' game recently was shocked by the deterioration in the still-29-year-old McGrady's game.

"I thought to myself, 'My God, he's old,'" the scout said. "It was amazing."

That's good news for the Rockets. Tracy McGrady is more of a liability than an asset to them because of his injuries. He leaves a big void spot in the roster and he eats up too much space in the salary cap.

We, the Rockets fans, can celebrate because of this news.

Golden State is always playing small. Back in 2007 when they defeated Dallas in the playoffs, Al Harrington, who's a natural SF is moved up to play PF. Andris Biedrins is Golden State's only legit big man used often.
