@choui68: (OT) Er, about those "images of girls I grabbed and edited", I must admit that I'm also a manyak, mwa ha ha but I personally like to be perceived as "maginoo but medyo bentot, este, ba$to$." In English, gentlemen on the outside, perv on the inside. Kung baga, I say is "Miss, may I hold your hand?" but my mind says, "Miss, may I hold your (beep)?"

@inkinian, makatasawi, szichri, choui68, petey78: Two of my Nikonian office mates ganged up on me and are trying to change my mind. One is even saying that given two same-level models from both brands, an out of the box (default) shot of Nikon is way better than Canon in terms of noiselessness and saturation. And the reason why Canon has many service centers is because Canon cameras are always in need of repair. The only good Canon are the pro-level Canons and the entry levels and mid-levels stink (daw). Hay... I'm sure if I talk to a Canonite, I'll hear the opposite. I know it's not the pana but the Indian but heck I'm a poor Indian and can only afford one pana, so I better decide well on Saturday

i'm a nikonian all the way(d40x)... but not to be biased bai, i think i love how canon renders its color... pero nindot gyud ang nikon bai kay walay Error 99... hehehehe... peace sa canon peps... and i gues your better off with nikon kay your friends are using nikon, pwede ra ka kahuwam sa ila gears...

So are they saying that their Nikon NEVER needs repair? We all know that nothing is forever, so assuming the time comes that it needs repair, then what? You will have to send it to some far off planet... Canon has service centers because Canon cares for their customers, they want to give the best service to their customers. But I'm not here trying to convince you what to get, just a different viewpoint.

Canon, Fuji, Nikon, Sony, etc... they're all great brands in their own way. Heck, the 400D was one of the best mid-level cameras that came out during it's time. Some brands even emulated some of 400D's capabilities.

As time moves on, technology also improves. Thus, newer cameras, whether point-and-shoot, mid-level DSLR's or eve Professional DSLR's will have newer technology and will be better than it's predecessor.

well there's always a battle between two brands. follow lang gyud sa imo gusto...
its like comparing apples to oranges

mao ra ni ako nahibaw-an ha about this two brands:

for me, canon has the advantage sa sharpness and details sa images..mas daghan ka ug lenses to choose from.

while nikon, fast AF and handles well sa exposure, less noise at higher ISO..

mao lang ni ibutang sa imo mind: the 3 year old canon 5D cge nila gi compare sa less than a year nikon D700... meaning,a 3 year old canon cam is still competitive sa mga newer nikon models.... both are great cams.. so ikaw nalang conclude ana..

ang akong mentor, changkol buenconsejo is a nikonian,, sometimes he convinced me to join the darkside coz even pa daw sa una film pa,nikon na iya na andan...pero bilib lang ko niya kay open cya sa other brand like canon,,now that i use canon, he even appreciated nga naa ko ana nga gears..how he wish nikons have those kind of lenses pud daw...

for him, dili mu matter gyud ang camera..so mauna ,i always respect the two brands.
