Unfortunately there aint that much species of varanid to be found here in Cebu but two....The rough necked monitor and the Cumingiis monitor. Between the two, i'd go for the cumingii as they can have very interseting color patterns......one with a lot of yellow...though if you do get lucky you might just find one with a lot of yellows and hopefully with no black coloration and that will be one darn expensive specimen. I've seen one captured in Alcoy and is now in Perth Australia. pretty, pretty lizards. Polilio and the Panay islands though hold some of the most endangered varanids the world has ever known.......facultative fruit eaters not carnivores....the butaan and the mabitang.

Yep, a common house... Keep it, it makes a good pet... They're a bit defensive but can be handled
