Hi Everyone!

I'm into Call center industry as what is commonly called.

Being an agent or even with a higher position makes no difference at all, still you're working hours is different than the usual hours!
I have been caught in a situation my old friends whom they're into their fields like banking and all that..

They have lower salaries than ours but they said:

"I pity you... What you have is not a career but it is rather a job!" You're just there because they pay big but that's not actually what you wanted and besides, health is wealth.You're staying in that company because you can still handle pressure,how bout if you grow old?Will you still stay?

Oh com'on help guys....pressued by friends and families with this situation.. They're true at some point but really??There is no career with this kind of job?

well, all i can say is, save your money and then start a business.. retire while you are still young yet focus on your business..im sure, your friends will be envious..hehehe

if you look at it as "business process outsourcing" instead of call center, and "customer service" instead of call center agent, then you will see the careers and not just the jobs. it's how you see things.

somebody told me about this years ago when i started my own business.and enjoy every moment i'm at the office.

after 2 years i decided to enter gov't service.

now i've got a career (business) and a job (civil servant)at the same time

All I see are employees working for businessmen hehehe and I'm one of the employees lol

it actually depends on which callcenter you are working in... nowadays, callcenters offer careers but its very competitive and fast paced. its true banking is definitely a career but its very slow paced and more on politics.
anyways, it all depends on you. just beware of dead end jobs. hehehe...

a career is a type of job,

a job is when you don't see yourself working for the same work/employer for the rest of your life.
a career is when you consider spending the rest of your life for the same job/employer
