well sis...IF I UNDERESTAND what you are SAYING....you can afford it since you are netting around 3T usd a month with the sweldo and the allowance...sus eh di go! spend! spend! spend!

but i still think you have a problem that you are masking.

as long as di ka mabaon sa utang at wala kang sinasaktan like your children's future.... my opinion is... who cares?

gerl, u might be loaded by now...but sooner or later ....

I used to have monthly allowance from hubby in $$$$ aside from my monthly salary but I told him to stop giving me since I earned enough for myself & to my remittance to cebu with extra savings...but if I need money for branded stuff which I crave sometimes he'LL buy for me man sad but c'mon sis be realistic & practical... esp if ur married to foreigner... I suggest u make urself busy like me am working mom with 2 kids..naa sad baya ko stay in maid here but still i make myself busy with my kids...

ur from australia life there are not easy, I'ved seen my relatives work hard...some of them are nurse like u too...yes u hve reasonable income but housing expenses etc are very costly too...

u shud live within ur means...record ur expenses then remove some are not necessary.. think 2x before u purchase something...make a list of what u buy for groceries....

I don't think I would spend that much money just on clothes, bags and shoes even if my salary is way over my current one. I would probably spend it on something else, but I'm just not a collector of clothes bags and shoes. I tend to only buy shoes when other pairs get too old; my purses and jewelries are all hand-me-downs from my mom; and clothes - they come and go and some of them even look better with age.

To answer the question, it's not typical considering the economy these days. I'm surprised you don't know that as you spent time here in the Philippines. But if it's your money, you can do whatever you like with it. If you're not spending beyond your means and not spending at the expense of family members but is still worried, then maybe it's time to do a little soul-search.

Search google for insights about shopping addiction.
