God gave us freewill...if we used it to disobey His will then we are prone to do evil things.

Did God really create evil? This is a hard question.

I think Evil was not planned. It is rather the consequence of Freewill being used to abuse the Laws of our good nature. Its rather an effect and was not planned.

We dont need evil to define Good. Good itself can stand on its own ground. For example, if you are going to show your love towards your wife or mother all you have to do is to say the words and quantify it by giving some presents. You dont need to hurt her to show the true meaning of love.

But btw for me in my opinion,your proposition is based on the wrong perspective of what is Good and Evil.
