I have already answered your question. You are very confused my friend. The unholy deeds are unholy in itself but it does not mean it diminishes the dignity of the person committing it because his being or his essence is holy! As I have said Man is created in the image and likeness of God (ESSENCE) and when he commits sin does that mean the essence is lost? NO. Man is still one with GOD! Are you still confused? Maybe you cannot accept that you are one with God because you don't believe that you are holy!

Let's define essence for your info. n philosophy, essence is the attribute or set of attributes that make an object or substance what it fundamentally is, and which it has by necessity, and without which it loses its identity.

Question: does our essence (spirit which is holy) got lost when we commit such unholy acts?

i think some people here misinterprets the meaning of the word "Holy"

holy is not equal to a perfect being.

one of the meanings of holy is - dedicated or devoted to the service of God, dedicated or devoted to the service of God, the church, or religion: a holy man:

is he not fit for that meaning? or kung illiterate mo, pde nko e bisaya para mkasabot mo? heheeh

Premise: A person who is subject to learning / is a student .Yes generally speaking it follows! it also

Conclusion: If so, it also follows that a person who does not subject himself to learning / study is not a student. WRONG CONCLUSION MY FRIEND. This is misleading! It does not follow. Why? it does not necessarily mean that when a student does not subject himself to study is not a student anymore. REASON: A student may attend school but does not study his lesson. SEE? I have seen a lot of students only by name but don't study but they are still a student in the university! )

well sir, holy is just a word, but its like a potential thing to each one of us, or to all things to exaggerate the point,,obviously in the case of the pope its a business strategy, you tend to accept without questioning what the person is saying even if it is ridiculous and mindless, the followers deserve it since they allow themselves to be duped by the tradition of non sensical dogmas & doctrines, so somotetbe

it would be more interesting if the F-word is the prefix in all the words.

but alas, when man committed sin, he walked away from grace, and therefore is not holy. do you read the bible? let me read to you Heb 12:14
Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.
in this context, it is implied, that man should strive to be holy, for holiness is not inborn, nor will it stay with a person as long as he lives without doing good.

let me also read to you 1 Peter 1:15
but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct
    and also Leviticus 19:2
Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them, You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.
these are calls to be holy, for man, by turning away from grace, does not retain the state of holiness as you have stated.

so, what passages in the Bible did your information come from?
