Water Stations
Water stations are where you can fill a glass up to quench your thirst while watching the Sinulog dances on the street. Don’t worry - all nineteen water stations are strategically placed along the parade route, so you won’t have to go out of your way just to take a sip. Ofcourse, you can always come back for as many refills as you need. That means there’s no stopping you from mingling with the people, appreciating the display of cultural dances and worshipping Santo Niño with your all.
Medical Stations
Are you in constant need of a first aid kit or afraid that your body might not be able to withstand the heat and rush of Sinulog? It’s good to take necessary precautions. But if you want to experience the Sinulog firsthand, you can still brave the streets of Cebu and be safe. Seventeen medical stations are situated all over the parade route. Medical personnel can attend to your health needs. In case of any emergency, an ambulance will be provided. After all, the city wants only the best for every Sinulog reveler.
Bleachers
Bleachers are retractable tiered benches for spectators who watch the colorful parade of dances, floats, giants and puppets in the streets. Getting these seats will not cost you anything except for a sun tan. These bleachers are available at the sides of the parade area so you can take a close glimpse of what is to happen in the grand stand. There are also many surprises that await you in the bleachers. Come and enjoy the fun in the most colorful festival in the country happening in Cebu, Sinulog 2008.
Procession Route
The Sinulog Procession takes place on the eve of Sinulog. Before the streets fill up for the parade on Sunday, they become a path for the devotees on Saturday. This is the route where people - Cebuanos and non-Cebuanos alike – pay tribute, give thanks and offer petitions to the Child Jesus, or Santo Niño. On January 17, Saturday, starting at 1:30 p.m., devotees will gather in the Basilica del Santo Niño and pray the rosary as they walk in solemn procession before the image of the Holy Child. This will end at 6:00 in the same place where it began. This is symbolic of the very essence of Sinulog - that everything that God has given us can only be offered to Him in return.
