actually backmasking is an art. it was first used by The Beatles in pop music although it existed on electronica prior to the beatles during the 50s and 40s...
The Beatles backmasked their guitar solo on the last song from their Revolver album. i forgot the tile basta Tomorrow and first word hehehe. That particular song is unique at that time cause it sounds so hip. Mura sya ug something Beck would do.. And then other bands follwed in putting backmasked vocals and guitars in their songs pero they're not evil mesage...
Then i dunno how it happend Stairway to Heaven came on and thats when the controversy sparked. The band denied that they put the messages backwards. The Hotel California dayon. Rumor has it that there are some priests in the church of Satan in the studio during the recordings or that some of the engineers or crews are members of the Church of Satan. This church does practice black magic (yes folks, magic and witchraft does really exist! Its the work of evil. Even the bible confirms it).
Then some bands joined the hype for fun. They began putting an intentional messages backwards in their songs. Some of tem are satanic as MOCK to the controversy. Some of them are non sense and some are secret messages to their enemies or crushes and some are sexual...
Even Christian rock band Petra did intentionally put a backmasked message in their song Judas Kiss.
Today, backmasked still exist especially in the world of hiphop and electronica as part of their craft.
Some rock musicians now like Ash and pop producers(those producers responsible for The Backstreet Boys and Britney etc...) intentionally put some messages in their work in reverse.
Ash's reason was just for fun but the big time producers put them to have a psychological effect on people so when their target audience would hear the single, they wll go buy the CD... unfortunately for them today, when their target audience would hear the single, they open limewire or bittorrent and download illegally instead of buying... hehehe
Maybe next time these producers will put a backmasked message that says, "dont download illegally. you're going to hell f u do so" hahaha.
As for the question if this will have psychological effects? Research says it does but personally i cant tell Ive been listening to the vinyl version of hotel california and stairway to heaven and yet i never became a satanist nor commitd suicide...
next time they should research on some "emo: songs....
makaguba jud ug player if balihon ang tape ug cd, hehehehe
dont try this
