Hmmm... Very interesting post.
I have a couple of questions.
1. When you say "na anad man gud mu sa mga WESTERN SET OF VALUES sa aesthetics... its not really dirty, its just wa mo na anad coz ang na andan nato diri pina WESTERN, puti2 panit, ug Koreano buhok style which is totally not us!!!", isn't Jamaica (home of the Rastafari movement) in the WEST?
2. When you say "^_^ long live the third world countries! someday we shall crush the skull of every american!!! ^_^ peace comrades!", even if you ended it with a peace comment, isn't this statement very antagonistic towards the rastafarian values of acceptance, open-mindedness, and brotherhood?
and lastly,
3. You said, "ako id rather stick with the political implications of wearing locks... its a way of countering the western set of values which is not really good for us Filipinos. getz?", my question is: What is really its political implications
And what is the basis for your conclusion that the western set of values is not good for us Filipinos? Where did this come from?
It's great to see that people like you feel very strongly about something, in this case, even about something as simple as how to wear one's hair. You have to back it up with facts that will make us more informed, though. I'll be happy to learn.
