    Default problem with lan speed


    i have 6 pc's connected in a network with internet, a month ago, the status of my lan speed in all pc's is 100Mbps.my problem starts when suddenly 1 or 2 pc's has only 10Mbps and the internet connection for those pc's is gradually slower that the others.why is this so? how am i going to repair my pc's?any suggestions?thanks

    is there any firewall? are you using a router?

    yes im using a 3 com router.the firewall is disabled also.i just dont why it suddenly happened

    hows your NIC's. ( network interface card).....

    or maybe you can use this tool to optimize TCP settings on that slow computers. this is useful:

    check daw sa device manager, then awa properties sa imo LAN card. adto sa advanced option and set Link Speed Duplex mode to 100Mbps/Full duplex

    have you tried using a known good network cable? basin cable na gyud guba.. check pod ang connectors basin hugaw or lu-ag.Â* if ok ang cable and connections, try disabling firewall if that helps.

    also try these:
    * Try updating the NIC drivers.
    * In Device Manager,Right click the NIC adapter, select properties, if power management tab available., then click to uncheck theÂ* option to allow windows to turn of the device for power save..
    * Try Reseating the NIC card or also try to plug it in different slot

    other question, do you still have internet connectivity while you get the pop up message?

    one most unlikely cause: bad power supply. if your power supply is not stable, it might cause the NIC to reset.. and windows will display that message when the NIC resets.
