after almost a year and a half of abstinence from playing guitar, i have decided to pick it up agen and continue my left behind passion. if i wer to evaluate myself kung asa nku na.level, gamay nala'g kuwang, padng nku master level.. toinks wahehe

anyways, im lukng for a place were i can learn advance guitar. wer i can learn advance skills like sweep picking, tapping,etc. 1st option is sa ila Edz sa as fortuna pero ingon nila mahal daw nya' usa pa, layu' kau sa amoa..

napa bai laing place or person na inyo ma.recommend nku' na mu.teach og advance guitar?
if possible, please give me the name of the teacher, his genre or influence and pila pud iya pangayu' and if effective bah jud cia mu.teach, knang makakat.on jud q.

Good afternoon sir. sweep picking and tapping are not advance. they are basic. Strange but isn't it ironic to say, i can do my arpeggios but i can't do a sweep pick?

Typically, the instance of playing notes in fluid and rapid successions plus the flick of the pinkie or the ring finger during the the last note of pull-off completes a sweep.

Tapping is tapping or touching gently your notes by the "ball" of your right hand fingers along the string's fretboard lines in scalar movement (one string per distance or degrees), triad (3 strings) and arpeggiated (4 strings). Just master your notes and scales. Sequentially, you can do sweep pick and tapping with glissando alternately for classic and vintage effect.

TIP: Use direct picking for a fluid stroke. Use alternate picking to add tone character. Vary some attack by using 3-notes per string or legato. Remember to use a metronome and start at 40 bpm to regular 60 bpm for complicated riff. Then soar to 120 and shred at 180!

Suggestions:
1. Always warm-up starting with hand stretches to increase blood flow. Use a metronome. Devout 4-6 hours in practice. Religious practice will in no time make you a "revived shredder

2. You don't need a teacher. Keep on practicing your trills, string exercises and fingerboard positions. Perfect your hammer-ons and echo your pull-offs.

3. Review your scales and sound them correctly.
Keep on rolling your arpeggios. Start with 3 notes, then add to 4 notes and speed up to 5 notes! Listen to your notes.

4. Search the net for new material that will make your guitar playing complete and exciting.
