Change:
Kon ganahan ta mabag o ang Catholic church, let us begin from ourselves, our families and friends. Dili ta mag expect sa uban. Do not judge the way you see others. You never know their hearts.
Also, if we do complain what right do we have to do it? Martyrs and Saints never complain what they see but rather extended their lives to the least fortunate. This is exactly opposite to others who like to change the whole world at once rather than facing the problem accepting it and be involved in the process.
Faith:
Kon naa man gani nipahid sa rebolto sa Ginoo it is not because its a ritual (maybe for some) but its because of faith.
Do you remeber sa dihan nahikapan sa masakiton and sinina ni Jesus? These people believe that if they touch this part of the image they will be blessed. Its like kissing your mothers picture could make you cry for you believe it is her you kissed eventhough she is dead and it takes away your loneliness. Kon maglalis ta nga dili na picture or exac figure sa ginoo, again it is faith.. believing without seeing.
Partial truth:
Because of freewill, most of the Catholics became like what you just said. But I could not imagine either having our parish priest calling my name every sunday and checking the attendance sheet or dopping me on the catholic members list when I fail to pay 10% out of my income. Cant you appreciate something out of it? Probably too much freedom is not so good but that is what faith and salvation is all about. You cant force a person when it is not in his heart. Its one reason why El shaddai is there , CFC is there , SFC is there, volunteers and and missionaries are there to fill this gap.
How about you, what have you done?
