The report was very damaging and they did not want negative publicity so they had to pay her. I don't know the exact amount. I also don't know if the report was true or not, it probably was true since they paid her.

Are they sure that it was indeed Korina who asked for the money? The report was very damaging and they did not want negative publicity so they had to pay her. I don't know the exact amount. I also don't know if the report was true or not, it probably was true since they paid her.
if what you said are true... shame on them (both Korina and the company).
It's not as if Korina was the best broadcaster ABS CBN has. She's good at speaking in Filipino and English and has a nice voice, but when she does interviews she asks the weak questions. Wasn't Noli de Castro also one of those suspected of extorting money from people by using his program (before he ran for senator i guess?)
she is a very good TV news anchor and the most popular,Â* BUTÂ* the management of ABS has made a very surprising and unplannedÂ* decision to replace her as an anchor of TV Patrol. It was obviously very difficult for Korina to accept it, as what her facial expression during her last appearance on TV Patrol. i was one of the viewers who was able to saw how she says Goodbye and cried.
I wonder why ABS management has done that..?
but as what i have read in the news papers, the replacement of Korina was part of the Networks effort to recover from the TV ratings which was affected by past 2004 election. Many opposition leaders and/or candidates(loser) was very noisy in saying that ABS was very bias in delivering TV news reporting regarding election surveys,Â* vote quick countings and the likes. This greatly affected the network's rating making them number 2 from number 1 and some TV networks specifically GMA7 has take advantage of the situations, they were indirectly making the issues more and more bigger.
ABS was never bias, they were just simply delivering the real and true news to the Pilipino.
i'm sure of one thing,i hope some istoryans wont take this personally, viewers of ABS-CBN is much more" open minded " compared to others.
and i'm sure also that wala sa gitan-aw sa taw nga station ang nakahimo niya og open minded.i'm sure of one thing,i hope some istoryans wont take this personally, viewers of ABS-CBN is much more" open minded " compared to others.
mas open minded ang taw kong makadawat siya nga naay mas nindot og mas tarong nga salida sa pikas channel ma ABS or GMA.
i agree. if indeed ABS-CBN was bias in favor of GMA during the 2004 election as alleged, ngano man giinitan si Julius Babao ni Gloria? if indeed, they destroy FPJ, ngano man naa sa ABS ang remake sa Panday?Originally Posted by josmar

lolz..if ABS-CBN will be bias then probably it will be on ERAP and the opposition coz one of the Lopez's had married the daughter of Erap..the Lopez-Ejercito clan
^ i agree. i even remember during the failed EDSA III, one of the ABS-CBN vehicles was set to fire by ERAP supporters. they were alleged as anti ERAP along with INQUIRER that time.
nahitabo sab d i to bai... ang ako ra nahibaw-an nga gisunog kato man paghoman sa 2004 election.one of the ABS-CBN vehicles was set to fire by ERAP supporters.
there are only 3 words that can describe Korina...
vain, plastic & tantrums.
