In most parts of the world, including the U.S., Canada, EU countries, and Japan, you are automatically granted copyrights to your photos.
However, the nonprofit Creative Commons offers six default licenses as an alternative to full copyright so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.
Remember that you can only copyright images that you own. This means you can't copyright images that you've taken from somewhere else! Additionally, just because an image does not have a Creative Commons license attached to it, doesn't mean that it is public domain.
yup that's from most part of the "world" pero how about Philippines. Di paman ligon atong INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY CODE OF THE PHILIPPINES, if mag sigi tag post sa ato pics nga wa nato pa license posible pwede or gamiton gyud for sure sa ubang tao,

Rules & Regulations on Trademarks, Service Marks, Tradenames and Marked or Stamped Containers --->
Intellectual Property Office
Actually, the links refer to Trademarks, Tradenames or Service Names. They don't apply to photographs, which are covered by The Law on Copyrights (Part IV) of the IP Code.
"Copyright" actually covers two things: the moral rights that are part of your work - the right to attribution, etc., and the "copyright" or economic rights - the right to allow (via license) others to use your work.
Under the IP Code, you own the copyright to your photograph the moment it is created. Moreover, you don't even need to register it as "proof" of your ownership. As long as you can prove that you took the photo - you have the original file with the EXIF data showing that you took it, then that's it.

pero sir how about, example *u rent a camera or barrow it from someone with the CF and ayun nag picture picture naka like sa sinulog, then u copy the file to ur pc/mac but forget to reformat the cam, then another person rent or the owner mismo sa cam ang mu angkun sa pictures then he pass it in the sinulog tapos naka daog too, nya mu reklamo either nila kung nga ilaha ni nga pic, in this case unsaun man og prove which is the real owner,... since both of them nai EXIF file.
