Default why did God create evil?

to totally accept one thing without any single hint of doubt, any infinitesimal amout of effort to entertain those doubts...

is to believe that candies are sweet when we do not know and have never tasted what a candy really is and what it looks like.

Greetings of Positive Energies to all!!!

For me, God did not create evil... Because He gave us the absolute freedom, we became abussive. It is the selfishness of man that brings evil in this physical world we are living. We made evil in diffirent things.

    Thanks...

everything is suppose to come from god...
    evil is a 'thing'
    ergo it came from god.

evil is a thing? I think it is just some sort of way to describe what is not good.
just like light and darkness - its just a word to describe the absence of light.

evil is the absence of good.
    my opinion:
God did not create evil. God created man which is basically good and at the same time capable of evil.

    everything good comes from God.
evil is not a thing it isn't good either
ergo it didn't come from God.

Default why did God create evil?

I guess God created evil to help us understand the difference and encourage us to do good. Like what Beavis and Butthead once said, "..how will we know if it sucks if everything does not suck..."

to suggest that evil did not come from god is to suggest that god is not omniscient at all. to suggest that it did not come from him is to say that he does not necessarily is the origin of everything.

also to suggest that evil is but the absence of good is to suggest that evil was there first before good. this basically contradicts with the presumed dogma that god has "no beginning and no end" which also suggests that god is ever present. and if god is good and ever present, then where is evil's place?

darkness = the absence of light

    can it also be that

light = the absence of darkness

it is all a matter of sacrifice really... which concept of god you are willing to sacrifice... is it his supposed omni-benevolence, omniscence, omnipotence, or omnipresence.
