ladies and gentlemen,
this is in reaction to the locked December Contest thread...

Its been quite some time that i havent posted in here but i'm a lurker in the monthly contest thread which i think members in this forum enjoy each others company. Its just sad to note that this might come to a stop just because of some misunderstandings in the other thread. I'm sure daghan man ganahan nga mopadayon ni but murag di na man sad ganahan si radiostar. I remember the first time this was done we even gave out simple prizes for the winners... if i remember it right, when it was my turn to moderate i delivered the prize to crashburns office when he won. and in turn he gave me a coffee mug nga christmas give aways nila ato panahuna bisag siya man unta ang nakadaog hehehe.
Anyway, kung kinsa man gusto musogod ani ug usab... kung naa pay ganahan, i'd like to give this gamay nga suggestion. I clearly understand the issue on copyrights and i think its a valid question. What we did before was submit the entry to the moderator, he uploads it to a host, and he will be the one to post it sa monthly contest thread. I think this is the same procedure that were doing here, correct me if i'm wrong though. Now, with the copyright issue... i suggest that instead of the owner of the picture putting a watermark on his photos, the moderator will watermark it with say "istorya photo december" or something before uploading it to the thread... and use the same watermark every month there after para walay libog. We just have to trust the moderator that he/she will not use your photos in anyway.
This is just my suggestion though...

i am with you with this point... this is just for fun... but since somebody brought out the issue on copyright... we have to deal with it too so that we'll continue to have fun ... i dont mind seing my photos being used by somebody else even if they make money from it, whether they acknowledge me or not... i dont give a **** ... karon nga hobby ra ni ako hehehe , pero sa mga pro, this is a very legit issue ... pero kung ma-pro nako hehehe kanus-a pa...

Wow, I can't really believe this blew out of proportion. Unsa man nahitabo? wala ko kabasa sa mga problema hehehe.

Lingaw lingaw raman to uy, grabeh sad nang copyright, IMHO if you are so protective sa imung photos then ayaw nalag apil, tutla wala man say premyo unta to ang contest, para raman to liven up sa mga photo-enthusiasts.

But I agree with edwin_sn..SIR!! KUMUSTA! Since it was brought up, then we have to deal with. Sak2 nanang gibuhat ni PCHAN sa new thread.

There is no issue unless one makes an issue. Words were thrown about like rocks and perhaps some egos were struck down. I'd like to request everyone's kind consideration to let us have a cease fire, please not make anymore issues and move on.
