Seriously, this doesn't apply to the story as the story suggest not near death(e.g. comatose) but death. People issued death certificates are dead including brain dead (You know, brain needs oxygen, no blood flow means no oxygen, brain suffocates and eventually ceased to function, including dreaming functions and thats real science). I am not saying I believe in the story. I can only say that the author has the "bragging right" for he has returned from death (literally). I am not close to alternative explanations but it better be more logical than the delirium theory.

It's called near death delirium. If you're not brain dead yet it means your mind is capable of rendering far out thoughts in this panicked and traumatic state. In the case of thinking that you're about to die, your mind makes assumptions about what you'll see on the other end. i.e. heaven, hell, god and the likes. And the experience that god (god in your dream) knows so much about you is because it's your mind reminding you of all your past memories in your life and it is manifested in this being in your dream so the details are next to flawless.

search the net for "myths of near death experiences". i began doubting the validity of these claims way back since highschool. it is only recently that i discovered other people have also questioned this and brain doctors actually conducted studies on these things.

nevertheless, it has never failed to let people cash in on this experience. why does everyone believe? it's because we fear death and want to convince ourselves that there is something beyond the proverbial "end".

besides, the story of seeing his body going to the morgue was seen on his way back to life. but there is no account of the other people involved in this. The name of the hospital is not mentioned. The name of the doctor is not mentioned. Even the place of the accident is not mentioned. And to make his story more conveniently unquestionable, he picked a place that virtually NONE of us are aware of.

This doesn't follow the pattern of objective story telling as is the case of news articles. It does, however, follow the pattern of a chain letter.

Furthermore, there appears to be some sort of subtle racial slur implication on the emphasis that the assailant was intoxicated from a HINDU Festival. Tsk tsk tsk....

Well, if the argument is about whether the story is authentic or not, I'm hands off. It could be a chain letter though from some spammers. But if the argument is about what happens with a dead (within 1-3 hours) man's brain is completely a different story. Logically, if the brain is at extremely low activity (kung sa computer pa, nag hibernate), then delirium can easily be rolled out since it is the opposite of extremely low brain activity, isn't it? I also know that extremely low heart rate can be achieved as done by stunt men and magicians.
But for the sake of argument, what if the man was really dead, as in brain dead? Then two hypothetical things that can happen either, he will ceased to exist entirely or an entity in a form of pure consciousness will emerge. Which is which is up to you. Oh, another scenario is that, his consciousness can join his corporeal body and live again, but that can only be possible if the second scenario will hold true.
