a few months ago, my wife and i wanted to join fitness first. They were looking for our credit cards, which I nor my wife have since we'd rather pay in cash for our purchases. It was a personal financial choice. however, i told them that i was thinking of paying for a year's worth in cash. Funny how they refused us.

now i know why they only accept credit cards!! so they can keep charging you despite cancelling the membership! what a scam! hehehehe
ako pud, ilad sa fitness first. 3 of my officemates including me availed of their 500-peso enrollment fee nya libre na daw tanan. It turned out, naa pa daw hidden charges. So naka 2k ang mga kagwang. Thank you amo 2k da.

they even have this little scam going on right now, putting leaflets on Quaker Oats, "1 day FREE GYM at Fitness First", ako uyab ganahan kayo, ako giingnan,
Ayaw intawn ug adto, kay kanang imong 1 day Free,makabayad kag 1 million ana (exagg lang). which is true.
nadungog nako the same thing from friends. But this time, katamaran/katangahan na on their part. Kadtong kaila nako, called them up sa landline cust. service and pina close na yung acct kse di na cya satisfied sa service nila. Akalain mo, three months after dumating pa rin yung bill. Meaning, hinde na process yung request to cancel the acct. Tumatakbo pa rin ang metro.
i had a friend with the same problem... she got billed even though her contract expired and when she told me about it, i told her that its weird they do that because im enrolled in a different gym and they never automatically bill me, even if my contract expired and did not renew it yet...hehehe
also she said that when she tried cancelling her contract the management took a long time before cancelling it, and even if she already said to cancel it they still gave her a bill for the next month....
is this gym really like this?? i mean why would you bill someone when you already asked to cancel it?
i think the reason they gave was that, when they canceled the contract it was already the 2nd month after the 1st contract, so my friend had to pay for 2 months, 1 month for not canceling the contract in time, and another month because the contract was only canceled by them after the 1st month..
