We can truly solve our garbage in our environement, but there are garbages that can't solve no matter what we do and that is Garbage in Our Political System.

Yeah..its unfair to someone who just want the Metro Traffic be inorder and obtruction-free be typecasted as Environmental Destroyer whereas those factories, restaurants, loggers that doesn't comply the environmental standards are still free until now....besides, wala man niya gipang hagbas tong kahoy nga wala ma-igo sa ilang road clearing...

Naay..PASIG RIVER ay..pirting baho-a nganong dili man na nila mapa-hunong ng mga pollutants ana?

So when environment secretary Michael Defensor announced that the government had lifted the logging moratorium in Samar and allowed San Jose Timber Corp. to cut trees in a forest reserve on the island, environmentalists and the local Catholic Church were up in arms.

In 1989, logging was banned in Samar, after a typhoon unleashed floods that washed away entire villages and killed more than 100 people. The recent government decision undid the 16-year old ban, allowing a company owned by Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, an Arroyo supporter, to log in 95,770 hectares of its concession, an area that is within the Samar Integrated Forest Reserve and the Samar Island Natural Park.
may i add this short article regarding the Samar logging issue... since this thread talks about the environment right?

    is this patronage politics?

On a global scale, our country has been turned into a dumpsite. Think of those junk being brought here by developed countries. Tons and tons of TV's, components, computers and even cars are brought here. Some of those may work and some don't but they bring it anyway. Making a living out of these is beside the point. It's still garbage.

Q: "Garbage Problem in the Philippines" Can PINOYS really solve it?

A: If not we, then who will?!

There are means and methods to regulate and control garbage-- it's just a matter of implementing such methods and disciplining the people and organizations and industries to follow them to a T.

But it's easier written in the post than done
