@ross1234: the policy isn't account-specific anymore. all accounts are already covered by this policy. ...hehe, naminaw ko sa orientation.

@TS: try to review the policy. i don't think pwede ka i-accuse of awol as long as you have proper documents like med cert and stuff you get from the hospital. and as long as you call in. i mean, how's a person suppose to work if he doesn't even have the strength to feed himself. if you're not satisfied with ur tl's explanation, i suppose you could always approach the HR department for further clarification. beside, it's ur right as an employee to be informed.

it's all about having discipline and responsibility at the same time. If ever you really don't feel well, then do the process set so that you'll be excused. I will be in the Orientation tom. Will open up your concern.

Question for you: Did you really understand the speaker's explanation, coz sometimes, if ever di maayo mu-explain ang speaker, dha magsugod ang libog.

Sakto ingon sa uban, resign f di nmo kaya... But remember, rules are set to guide and set standards at the same time

this makes sense. why stay kung sige ka ug kasakit? daghan man siguro ug lain trabaho nga pwede pa masudlan without putting your health at risk.

exactly. dont make excuses so you could expelled from your company's policy. if you think the company makes you more sickly, then go find a greener pasture so they say

I think the new policy is fine...

If you really have fever, then go to a government doctor or your HMO accredited doctor and secure a medical certificate... Because I think it's the best way to prove that you are not in good working condition and they can't contest it anymore...

i will respond one thing lang jud...

it's subjective and to each views nalang.. I respect to all the views who say that it's ok for them and it's right for the company because its the discretion of the company man sad.. We'll... AMEN to that..

I am contemplating of resigning but the my dues prevents me from taking the plunge of resigning... FOR NOW.. maybe next year would be ample enough.

I agree, its not easy looking and earning for your own dough.. but then again, which one would you look for? A company who pays you big bucks but soon enough you would realize that you're being slowly choke on the neck? or a company whose kinda low pay but you're happy with how the management treats their employees as persons not slaves...? Without a doubt i would choose the latter. Bahala nalang if gamay jud ang sweldo. Adjustments nalang jud sa imong lifestyle to suit your income.

Hmm.. now talking about it.. maybe its time for a day job nalang jud.. Anyway in all my years working in sykes, my body clock had never ever adjusted to the weekly rotational shifts that i had hope it would. Maybe im just a duirnal person... Traffic lang every morning ang e.consider ug one major adjustment especially working in day jobs.

Thanks for the peeps who contributed their insights.. much appreciated mga bros/sis..

    MUCH appreciated jud...

Mao na kay ang mga agents mga unprofessional mn gud usahay. Absent daun basta abot na ang sweldo. Kng d na jd mkaya, nobody is forcing us to continue to work. We can always resign from our job.
