I love LOTR (movies and book) but i don't think the movies were faithful adaptations of the book. But that's understandable since the book is so long. I still wish Radagast and Tom Bombadil made an appearance though.
No Country For Old Men pretty much nailed the book.

I'm afraid Zack Snyder's Watchmen film will be one of the best adaptations too.
Francis Ford Coppola's Godfather has got to be the best.

LOTR was awesome. Not as good as the books, but just amazing nonetheless.
