eeep. daghan diay gahuwat ani. wala pman ko PC sa balay gud kay RMA ang PSU. anyway, I already have the drafts ready, will post as soon as my pc comes back from the DEAD.

@ obor: si box2joe, na underclock iyang proc tungod sa overclock. pero tigulang na pud to iyang proc, used for almost 5 years na guro which makes it sulit imong gibayran because you're running it at faster clock speeds and prices drop over time.

    not really the entire rig...fried processors lang due to overvoltage settings...the evidence: left:Pentium 4(631) 3.0GHz oc'ed to 4.5GHz...right: Pentium4 D 925 3.0GHz oc'ed to 4.3GHz

its been an exciting & full of learning adventure for me in terms of OC...as they say "Those who love to play with fire should be ready to suffer the burning"...hehehe

Curious lang ko bro, so mainly due to overvoltage. What if you dont touch the vcore and just change clock and multiplier, what are the chances na masunog imo procie? Or if you overvolt pero nindot imo HSF, sunog ba gihapon? And what about the built in protection of the mobo, lutsan gihapon?

^ you can, but only up to a certain point (this will be covered in the guide later on). furthermore, core 2s are upward locked cpu core ratio meaning, di ka go beyond the default but can go down. even with a nice cooler, if you're still overvolting the processor, you're increasing electromigration which degrades the CPU faster more so, if beyond specification.

kung fsb & multiplier lang imong duwa-an, dili masunog imong procie. the worst is dili mo post imong system so CMOS reset lang ka...overvolting has no relation to nindot HSF...there is no protection to speak of, bec. u are in fact setting the voltage increase to make the system stable...hope this helps...

@ bro poldopunk: Memset nga program gamit kaayo nako mag OC to tighten the mem timings(no good ang speed increase if u have a very relaxed mem timings)...nice ni nga series imong gi make...for an OC newbie like me, i can learn a lot...thanks and keep it up...

whaaaaaaaa..... makadawat nasad ka award ani bai! is it ok if mag post sad ta ug mga results ug timing settings diri bai para naa sad mas visualize nga guides ang mga newbies? aside sa settings mo post sad ta sa specs sa ato rig para mas dali ra jud makarelate katong mga baghu-ay pa to oc and mas easier ra nila ang pagadjust kay naa man chance nga makakita sila ug pposter nga same sa ilang rig.

@simoko, thanks. I have not gone over 1.425v pa man gud in all my OC life. Although I could have pushed for more but I dont want to risk it. How far have you gone in your vcore? Or, pila ang vcore atong nasunog nimo na procie?

dili na ko ka remember bro unsai settings adto when they got fried...dugay2x na man gud tu...2 yrs na tingali & ambot asa na tu akong mga notes...dugay napud nahalin ang mobo...but normally i determine my voltage push sa pila value imong makita sa kanang Core Voltage sa CPUz...if u observe closely they normally change from time-to-time(in OC lingo = VDroop) depende sa load sa imong system, w/ the Vcore Droop Control enabled in the BIOS...
